In 1954, the company produced its first moulder, the Sprint model
This was a real revolution as at the time, bakers had to mould by hand.
This was a considerable challenge: reproducing the same moulding as hand moulding!
The Sprint moulder was a horizontal moulder with stretching on a fixed table.
MERAND has since developed a complete range of moulders, dividers, intermediate proofers and automatic lines.

Its soon-to-be 50 years experience is a tremendous benefit serving bakers throughout the world.

Test your solution - before accepting it

With its surface area of approximately 600m2, the MBC (Mérand Baking Centre) is there for you to test the MERAND machines and the automatic lines.
The MBC is fitted with all of the MERAND machines: Ténor and Trégor moulders, Diva Hydraulic dividers, and also the Compact or Mécaform intermediate proofers and the Mécarmor Universal factory baking line. Assisted by a team of baker chefs, specialists and engineers to give demonstrations throughout the year, you can undertake "full size" testing of your solution. You can enjoy the benefit of the international experience of our MBC experts. They will advise you on many products, types of dough and processes for efficient production.

Several models in our range, such as Trégor Tradition, Diva and Mécaform reflect this continual research. MERAND is now able to offer moulders and dividers which can work different types of bread. More and more, bakers are saying they no longer want to have to buy single-product machines (for example one moulder just for baguettes, another for bread rolls, etc.)
In addition, most of our equipment can be upgraded by adding on accessories so as to make the baker's initial investment last when his/her requirements change (volume or type of production, desire for automation, etc.)
